In 1978, Cerrone, Voyage, Linda Clifford, Love & Kisses, Sylvester, Donna Summer and Chic claimed the top positions in the Disco charts.

In 1979 numerous artists managed to reach #1 in the Disco charts. Among them Edwin Starr, Gloria Gaynor, Sister Sledge, Gino Soccio, Patrick Hernandez, Diana Ross, Ashford & Simpson, France Joli, Destination and Donna Summer.
