The Kawartha Time Machine is just what the name implies – an all-encompassing audio vault of oldies, classic commercials, TV Shows and movies, classic comedy and historical events from the local Kawartha region and beyond – all presented as a radio station that streams 24/7 365 days a year. There’s a local weekday morning program hosted by Gordon Gibb, a veteran broadcaster with more than 50 years in the Kawarthas – and that’s the region we serve. The Kawartha region encompasses Cottage Country in Central Ontario, Canada and located an easy two-hour drive northeast of Toronto. It is an area brimming with sparkling lakes, greenspace and parkland that includes Peterborough (our home base), as well as the town of Lindsay and various other regional municipalities that border the Haliburton and Algonquin Highlands – an area we also serve. But our focus is Kawartha, which is the First People’s word from the Huron language meaning ‘bright waters and happy lands.’
