786: Outside the Disney Bubble: Gettin’ Weird in Austin
7/4/2025
We’re stepping outside the Disney bubble and heading deep into the heart of Texas for an unforgettable trip to Austin. That’s right—we swapped MagicBands for cowboy boots and spent the weekend soaking up everything Austin has to offer, from mouthwatering food to meaningful moments.
We’re talking Michelin-starred barbecue brisket that melts in your mouth, spicy chicken from a food truck named Spicy Boys, an incredible cowgirl hat experience at Kendra Scott’s Yellow Rose boutique, and a dive bar that turned out to be surprisingly sober-friendly. Plus, opening up about a powerful personal milestone—reaching 475 days of sobriety—and how a three-hour Blue October concert helped finally deliver the clarity.
Whether it’s floating in freezing cold Barton Springs, indulging in gourmet ice cream, or spotting a puppy in an Uber, this was a weekend filled with unexpected joy, emotional growth, and plenty of laughter. So if you’re looking for an inspiring, delicious, and downright weird adventure beyond the theme parks, grab your hat (and maybe a churro for comfort) and come along for the ride!

784: Eat It or Beat It: Disney Springs
6/27/2025
We’re taking a delicious deep dive into the snack scene at Disney Springs to determine which treats are truly worth your time, money, and appetite. With so many tempting options, we’re breaking them down by taste, value, portion size, and uniqueness to see which ones deserve a resounding “Eat it!” and which you may want to “Beat it!”
We kick things off at Swirls on the Water with the DOLE Whip Flight—a $7.99 trio that serves up a sampler-sized portion of Disney’s most iconic soft-serve in playful, unique swirls like banana and salted caramel or mint chocolate, all with fun toppings. Then we hit the heavyweight champion of cookies at Gideon’s Bakehouse, where the limited-time White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie clocks in at nearly half a pound and over 24 hours of prep time, offering rich flavor and chewy-crispy contrast.
From there, it’s on to Sprinkles for a fresh cupcake delivered from their famous ATM, and then we hop over to The Daily Poutine, where $10.49 gets you a hot, hearty portion of Canadian-style comfort food—fries, gravy, and cheddar curds that are perfect for sharing. Summer House offers up a gooey cookie bar that’s just as pretty as it is tasty, while Chicken Guy delivers classic tenders with a sauce-sampling twist that brings the flavor (and a bit of Food Network flair).
We wrap with Homecomin’s beloved Momma’s Mac and Cheese, Morimoto Asia’s sticky-sweet spare ribs, Everglazed’s pillowy doughnuts, and the wildly inventive small-batch ice creams from Salt & Straw—think strawberry balsamic or honey lavender atop a crisp waffle cone.
Whether you’re strolling the Springs for a quick bite or plotting a full-on snack crawl, this episode is your go-to guide for the tastiest (and most interesting) stops along the way.

With as many as 12.5% of adults and nearly 1 in 5 adolescents experiencing specific phobias in their lifetime, it’s essential to help all guests feel confident and informed when planning their Disney experience. We also include tips for using DAS (Disability Access Service), rider switch, and identifying quiet spaces throughout the parks when needed. Plus, we share a list of sensory-friendly alternatives so everyone in your party can find their magic, no matter their comfort level. Whether you’re planning your first trip or helping someone else prepare, this episode is here to help you create a trip full of joy, confidence, and understanding.

We’re going completely off script—no notes, no prep, just pure pizza passion! We also break down why the best pizza doesn’t always come from the best pizza place, and how certain locations may surprise you with better value or more convenience than you’d expect. Whether it’s a quick slice in the middle of a busy day, or a sit-down experience that satisfies every craving, we’ll debate what makes each spot worth visiting—and where you might want to pass.
So if you’re craving that cheesy, saucy goodness on your next Disney trip, this episode serves up our hot takes in real time, crust and all. Grab a napkin, loosen that waistband, and get ready for a flavorful, freewheeling conversation about Disney pizza.

770: Main Street Magic Mailbag: Listener Q&A Part 28
5/9/2025
We’re back to answer an awesome variety of questions straight from our Facebook page and community group! From practical planning tips to some really fun hypotheticals, this episode is packed with listener-driven content that blends helpful advice with plenty of playful Disney banter.
We kick things off by talking about how we personally keep the magic alive in the parks—even after countless visits—and which EPCOT festival stands out as our favorite and why. Jason asked where to find the best quick service and sit-down breakfasts, while Jennifer wanted to know if Lightning Lane is even necessary during the slower days in January.
We also take on a fun round of favorites, sharing our go-to snacks and rides in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, and even admit which Disney characters we crushed on as kids. Longtime listener Anthony asked how the podcast came to be, and what Jeremy does for his brother—something we’ve mentioned before but never really dug into.
Then there’s a great question about park hopping and how to make the most of a quick 3- or 4-day trip—perfect for anyone who can’t take a full week off. Olivia sent in a deep Disney thought, wondering if all the plates and utensils in Beauty and the Beast were once people… and what happened to them after the curse was lifted?
We also dive into nostalgia, talk about our experiences with cast members at Disney vs. Universal, share which rides we wish included PhotoPass, and even get to dream up a ride of our own. And of course, there’s a fun magical twist: if each of us got three genie wishes—what would we wish for?
With a mix of heart, humor, and helpful tips, this episode is a celebration of you—the Main Street Magic community—and the questions that keep the magic going.

767: Churros, Coasters, and Classics: Our Disneyland Adventure Day 2
4/29/2025
We’re diving into Day 2 of our Disneyland adventure — and it’s packed with unforgettable rides, incredible eats, and nighttime spectaculars!
We kick off the morning using Lightning Lane at Disneyland Park, taking in iconic views of the Castle, snapping photos, and riding classics like Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion. Plus, we cool off with drinks at Oga’s Cantina and tackle Big Thunder Mountain Railroad before park hopping.
Over at Disney California Adventure, it’s all about the food and thrills — from the Crème Brûlée Churro at Terran Treats, WEB Slingers, and Incredicoaster, to savory stops at Lamplight Lounge and refreshing sips at Pym Tasting Lab. After a mid-afternoon break at the hotel, we head back for an evening of delicious bites at Carthay Circle Lounge, sweet treats from Clarabelle’s, Trolley Treats, and more.
We cap off the night with a ride on Soarin’, the stunning World of Color – ONE nighttime spectacular, and a late-night ride spree including Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Star Tours, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride — plus a few final sweet stops at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café.
From thrilling attractions and decadent snacks to dazzling shows and late-night Disney magic, this was a day to remember — and we’re taking you along for every moment!
50 states, 50 marshmallows, 50 trips — it’s Marshmallows Across America!
