Garver worked the third full count of the inning and then blasted Suarez’ 7th pitch of the at bat over the wall in left-center field. Ranger ended the night with a career high 10 strikeouts while being charged for two runs on four hits, no walks and one hit batter. He improves to 9-6 on the season. The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 thanks to a four-run, two-out rally in the 8th! Taijuan Walker had another great outing going six innings allowing just one run to give the Phillies a chance at a victory. However, he received no run support while he was in the game. The offense for the Phillies didn't start until their backs were against the wall with two outs in the eighth inning. Edmundo Sosa stepped to the plate and got into a 2-2 count before roping a fast ball into right field. Weston Wilson followed by pulling a curveball into the left field corner for an RBI double to tie the score at one. Then Trea Turner smacked an RBI single to left bringing Wilson home for a 2-1 lead. Kyle Schwarber would cap off the rally with his 42 home run of the season, a moonshot of a two-run home run down the right field line. The Philadelphia Phillies failed to complete the sweep of the Baltimore Orioles as they drop game three, 5-1. Ranger Suarez lasted 6.1 innings allowing five runs, all earned on nine hits including a BOMB of a three-run homer by Coby Mayo in the 4th inning. Mayo blasted a Suarez change up over the middle of the plate about a mile in the sky as it traveled 421 ft to left field. The Phillies bats were alive and well throughout this game, but went ICE COLD whenever their was a runner in scoring position. Phillies went 1-for-10 with RISP in the game. Their only run came on an RBI single from Trea Turner in the 5th that brought home Weston Wilson.
