Late last night, NHL Insider Kevin Weekes reported Western Michigan head coach, and this year’s NCAA champion, interviewed for the Philadelphia Flyers head coaching gig. Charlie & Bill discuss Ferschweiler’s candidacy, connections to Keith Jones, and what it could mean for the coaching staff. We also talk Jon Cooper rumors following Tampa Bay’s ouster from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and the possibility of Coop becoming available.

The Vancouver Canucks announced that head coach Rick Tocchet has decided he would not be returning as the Head Coach for the team. Is Tocchet’s hiring as the Flyers next head coach now inevitable? Bill & Kelly evaluate Owen Tippett, Sean Couturier, Tyson Foerster and the rest of Philly’s offense. The Philadelphia Flyers 2024-25 season has officially come to an end. The team played its last game a few days ago, dropping the finale in regulation to secure the 4th worst record in the NHL. And this weekend, the players, coaches and front office conducted exit interviews with the media, officially signaling the beginning of the offseason. Philadelphia Flyers fans have long surmised Mike Sullivan could be the top candidate to replace John Tortorella once Torts’ presumed role changed from head coach to the front office. With that obviously not happening, the question is will Tortorella’s protege still be a candidate, assuming he and the Penguins part ways. The Philadelphia Flyers have made a habit out of winning meaningless games to hurt their draft lottery chances, but with their Stanley Cup Playoff hopes on line, Columbus Blue Jackets netminder Jet Greaves came into the Wells Fargo Center and shutdown Philly in the second-to-last game of both teams’ season. Charlie, Kelly & Bill break down the loss, and discuss the Draft Lottery implications of the game, as well as the Orange & Black’s team awards, and the latest in John Tortorella Fallout.

With only two games remaining in the Philadelphia Flyers season, we’re taking a look at some head coaching candidates, including another look at Pat Ferschweiler after his Western Michigan Broncos won the NCAA National Title over the weekend. Could connections to Flyers President Keith Jones, and prospect Alex Bump, put the WMU coach over the top? Plus, Charlie & Bill talk Tyson Foerster’s hot streak, the goalie situation, the draft lottery and more!

It took more than 60 minutes, But Claude Giroux’s Ottawa Senators defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 in overtime, marking Philly’s 22nd post-regulation game of the season. Bill & Steve break down the loss, and discuss the future of the Orange & Black’s goaltending, coaching, and more!

The Flyers and Islanders, as they always seem to do, needed not only overtime, but a shootout to determine a winner in this matinee matchup in South Philly. Ultimately it was Tyson Foerster and Sam Ersson who prevailed, eliminating the Isles from Stanley Cup Playoff contention. Bill & Kelly break down the win, and the Orange & Black’s late season surge since John Tortorella was relieved of his duties.

How about a MAILBAG DAY? With only four games left and the Philadelphia Flyers eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoff contention, fans are invested in the NHL Draft Lottery odds, and hoping for an active offseason. Bill & Kelly answer questions about replacing Ivan Fedotov and upgrading the goalie position, how the GM will attack this offseason and spend his draft picks, as well as Cutter Gauthier’s breakout, other rebuilding teams’ timelines, and Wrestlemania.
