5/1/2025
Today, Culver’s is giving out scoops of custard for $1 donations to the FFA. Get out there and enjoy some custard while supporting a great cause! It’s the first day of May! To commemorate No Mow May, Todd asks us What’s Worse: a lawn with weeds or a lawn with no weeds? To some, this question seems obvious, but not everybody agrees. Taking Care Of Wisconsin’s Birds with Lisa Gaumnitz (Hour 1)

5/1/2025
We begin today’s show with some breaking news from Washington, D.C. that’s very pertinent to Wisconsinites. The House Judiciary Committee met yesterday to sort out some budget concerns. One amendment on the table would have mandated adherence to the Constitution and forbid ICE from deporting US citizens. Per their own operational policies, it is already illegal for ICE to arrest or detain US citizens, but this does not appear to have stopped them in recent weeks. The amendment failed by one vote. Two of Wisconsin’s Republican congressmen voted against it, and one didn’t even bother to show up and vote. At the bottom of the hour, we pick up the torch from Matenaer On Air to talk about Fat Bird Week. We are joined by Lisa Gaumnitz, the SOS Save Our Songbirds Coordinator! You may have heard of Fat Bear Week, but they aren’t the only animals who bulk up for the Winter. You can head to wisconservation.org/fat-bird-week/ to vote for your favorite chubby birds over the next week! In addition to the fun competition, Fat Bird Week is all about educating Wisconsinites on how to contribute to bird conservation in their own backyards. Lisa provides some easy tips to take good care of the birds in your neighborhood. Are you interested in birding? You can observe and predict migration patterns at birdcast.info. You can also download the Merlin Bird ID app to identify birds with a quick picture or song recording. The Tremendous Highs and Lows of Nicolas Cage (Hour 2)

4/30/2025
After addressing the rest of today’s political news, Todd asks us What’s Worse: QR code menus or paperless tickets? We take your calls and texts on which of these “modern conveniences” is more annoying. At the bottom of the hour, film critic Tim Grierson returns to the show! As Senior U.S. Critic for Screen International, he brings us a great look at the current landscape of the film industry before diving into an important topic: his favorite Nicolas Cage movies. Trump’s Economy Is A Failure (Hour 1)

4/30/2025
Pat Kreitlow of the conveniently-named morning drive time radio program Mornings with Pat Kreitlow has made the migration with us to our new time of 2-4! We start off with a story from Fox News about our GDP, which is declining for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. The economy is sliding so far that not even Fox News hosts can try to spin it in a positive manner. On the other hand, Trump himself can’t seem to stop lying and making excuses. Trump’s Economy Is An “Unforced Error” (Hour 2)

4/29/2025
To kick off our second hour, we take more calls and texts on how the first 100 days of Trump’s second term have affected our listeners personally. As we reach peak brat grilling season, Todd asks us What’s Worse: sauerkraut or stinky cheese? At the bottom of the hour, Todd updates us on more news of the day. This morning, Amazon announced that they would show consumers price breakdowns to explain how tariffs are increasing the cost of goods. After pressure from the White House, they have already backed down on this policy. One Hundred Days Of Trump’s Second Term (Hour 1)

4/29/2025
Now that Trump has had the wheel of the country for 100 days, polling from Fox News shows that Americans aren’t too happy with the results. From the economy to foreign policy, his numbers are underwater. Stephen Miller, Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff, went on Fox News to demand that they fire their pollsters, stating that they are “always wrong” about President Trump. This is simply false. Despite the extreme bias of the Fox News entertainment programs, their polling division has proven to be extraordinarily accurate. We take some calls this hour on how Trump’s first 100 days have affected Wisconsinites in their day-to-day lives. Congress’s New Budget Will Gut Medicaid (Hour 2)

4/28/2025
This afternoon, Todd asks us What’s Worse: no clouds or a cloudy day? From sunburn to humidity to fishing conditions, there are a lot of reasons people might be miserable outside. After What’s Worse, Todd delves into what we can expect when Congress goes back into session on Monday. Some of the biggest concerns for Americans are proposed cuts to Social Security and Medicaid, and this is when the rubber hits the road. The tax cuts that MAGA Republicans want to implement can only be funded by cutting these vital programs, but many have pledged to their constituents that they will not do so. On Monday, we’ll find out where their loyalties truly lie. The Todd Allbaugh Show is a part of the Civic Media radio network and airs live Monday through Friday from 2-4 pm across Wisconsin. On CBS and Maintaining Journalistic Integrity (Hour 1)

4/28/2025
After a brief update on some expected severe weather around the state this evening, we are joined by Civic Media Sports Reporter Mike Clemens! Mike was on the scene in Green Bay for the NFL draft last weekend, so he walks us through the biggest news of the event. In other sports news, the Milwaukee Bucks have confirmed that Damian Lillard is out with another injury after tearing his left Achilles tendon. This injury will likely prevent him from playing through most or all of next season. As we mentioned on the show previously, Bill Owens has resigned after 24 years as Executive Producer of 60 Minutes on CBS. At the end of yesterday’s show, Scott Pelley shared some refreshingly blunt and candid comments about how this situation occurred. After pressure from CBS’s parent company Paramount, Owens felt he had lost journalistic independence and resigned to maintain integrity. The reason for Paramount’s apparent interference is likely a potential merger of major media companies that the Trump administration would have to approve. Previously, CBS drew criticism from the president as he falsely claimed that 60 Minutes edited an interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris in a misleading manner. Ultimately, President Trump’s attacks on news companies are eerily similar to actions taken by dictators like Nayib Bukele in other countries. Peter Rapine Finds Canadian Romance In Mexico (Hour 2)

4/25/2025
In today’s second hour, we switch to lighter topics. First, we welcome Brandon Ewing, former Badger and NFL fullback Bradie’s older brother and a fantastic coach in his own right, to talk about the NFL draft! A huge part of the excitement of the events is in the families, friends, and communities surrounding newly drafted players. Brandon shares what it was like when his brother was picked. Wisconsin is one of the last states to authorize name, image, and likeness (NIL) sponsorship deals for high school sports. As a high school coach, Brandon shares his thoughts on where the WIAA is headed. At the bottom of the hour, eBaum’s World Managing Editor Peter Rapine returns for another week in review! As always, these stories are crazy things that real people actually did. This week, he also brings us a few exclusives that haven’t yet been posted on the site! We also hear some of Peter’s personal life stories of finding love in Mexico. Here are the other stories he shared with us this week: Shaq Almost Definitely Sh*t His Pants On Live TVAustralian Airport Begs Passengers To Stop Showing Up DrunkDelta Passengers Forced To Hold Up Plane's Ceiling Mid-FlightMan Gets Arrested For Cleaning Old Woman's Yard For Free The Todd Allbaugh Show is a part of the Civic Media radio network and airs live Monday through Friday from 2-4 pm across Wisconsin. The Trump Administration Is Arresting Judges Now (Hour 1)

4/25/2025
Earlier today, the FBI arrested Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan for allegedly obstructing justice by aiding an undocumented person in an escape from ICE capture. Apparently, ICE agents were poised outside of Judge Dugan’s courtroom to detain a defendant during a pre-trial conference. Judge Dugan then directed the defendant and his legal team to exit through a private door. Here to dissect the situation is our friend and legal expert Matt Flynn. From the information publicly available, it is Matt’s opinion that Judge Dugan has not done anything illegal. Judges in Wisconsin are allowed to direct people in their courtrooms to use any exits they wish. If anything, the ICE agents disrupted the sanctity of her courtroom, as they did not have a judicial warrant. At the bottom of the hour, Todd rounds up the latest news on the Trump administration’s tariff purgatory. After a meeting with several retail executives, it appears that Trump has been convinced to soften the tariffs he plans to impose on Chinese goods. While this is almost certainly a good move, it’s too little too late, as Trump’s wanton application of tariffs have already caused many shipments to be canceled or routed elsewhere. The Draft Begins with Mike Clemens and Kevin O’Connor (Hour 1)

4/24/2025
Today marks the beginning of the NFL draft in Green Bay! Civic Media’s brilliant Sports Reporter Mike Clemens is on the scene, and he calls in to paint us a picture of the event preparations. We also listen to a report from our very own Teri Barr on the draft. While they don’t always come out on top, the Green Bay Packers have always led the NFL in terms of culture. The great Vince Lombardi set an incredible example of acceptance and inclusion by demanding respect and equality for all of his players, no matter their race or sexuality. At the bottom of the hour, Todd’s old broadcast partner Kevin O’Connor (unfortunately a Bears fan) returns to talk about Packers and Bears draft booms and busts over the years. How Joe Zepecki Wants To Lead WI Democrats (Hour 1)

4/23/2025
Today is our first show at our new time of 2-4 pm! Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project follows us into the mid-afternoon to share his unique perspective on the news of the day. Like Todd, he is a native Wisconsinite and former Republican. Unlike Todd, Trygve has worked in politics at all levels around the world, including presidential campaigns and battling authoritarianism in Eastern Europe. We ask Trygve about the developments of the Trump administration’s complete disregard of due process and rule of law. At the bottom of the hour, we are visited by Democratic political operative Joe Zepecki of Zepecki Communications. Ben Wikler recently announced that he will not run for reelection as Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. Now, Zepecki is running to carry on the torch. Pete Hegseth May Be Drunk Texting Again, Apparently (Hour 2)

4/21/2025
In our second hour, Todd spends some more time remembering the late Pope Francis. He shares some of his memorable quotes and remarks from former President Obama. This afternoon, Todd asks us What’s Worse: bad breath or body odor? Neither is a great smell, but which one makes you want to gag? Secretary Pete Hegseth’s Signalgate controversy continues to balloon to increasingly disconcerting levels. Hegseth used non-government communication channels for classified military plans, accidentally including a journalist in the group chat. We now know that Hegseth also used his personal phone to share classified military plans with family members and his lawyer. Mondays With Matt: On The Passing Of Pope Francis (Hour 1)

4/21/2025
This morning, Pope Francis passed away. Todd believes that this Pope was one of the greatest in modern history due to his humility and intentional reflection of Christ’s teachings over religious dogma. Regardless of one’s religion, Pope Francis’s focus on acceptance was admirable. Today, our friend Matt Flynn joins us to talk about the Pope’s impact on Catholicism. In addition to serving as the Chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party, Matt is an attorney, and he represented Milwaukee’s Roman Catholic Archdiocese for many years. In this position, he had a unique vantage point on the Catholic sexual abuse scandal. He shares details good and bad in his book, Confessions of a Church Lawyer: In Defense of Christianity. We also ask Matt’s opinion on continuing developments in the Trump administration’s illegal deportations. What does this mean for the future of due process in America? At the bottom of the hour, Civic Media Sports Director Jimmie Kaska joins us to discuss some big changes coming to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA). Once again, Name, Image and Likeness deals are potentially on the table for high school students. Wisconsin is the last state to allow these NIL deals in high school, and Jimmie expects the amendment to pass this time. Read more about the other proposed WIAA amendments at civicmedia.us/news. From Tuesday's show: How Trump’s Policies Are Wrecking Your Coffee (Hour 2) We welcome TJ Semanchin, Owner and President of Wonderstate Coffee! He and his Viroqua-based business are part of what makes Wisconsin great. Wonderstate has developed relationships with coffee farmers around the world to ensure that they are fairly compensated for the excellent coffee they grow. However, from cutting USAID to implementing nonsensical tariffs, the Trump administration’s actions are causing companies like Wonderstate to either increase prices or shut down entirely. For coffee in particular, low supply has already increased prices before these tariffs. From Friday's show: Saving Hearts and Killing Rats by Doug Moe (Hour 2) At the bottom of the hour, Madison-based author Doug Moe returns to the show to talk about his latest book, Saving Hearts and Killing Rats: Karl Paul Link and the Discovery of Warfarin.
