We begin with the California gubernatorial debate. Two Republicans and a slew of Democrats hoping to be Gavin Newsom’s successor. One issue in particular generated a lot of controversy – whether or not truck drivers should be required to understand English. It’s seems to be a reasonable requirement. We should want anybody driving an 80 thousand pound truck to know what the word “yield” means or “sharp curve ahead.” But California Democrats say forcing black and brown Californians and illegal immigrants to know what the word “stop means is racial profiling – and in some cases – a form of terrorism.” What say you, America? The Justice Department announced an 11-count indictment accusing the SPLC of fraud. They also stand accused of giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to paid informants inside extremist groups. One of the more shocking accusations is that the SPLC actually organized the Charlottesville riot – that left one woman dead and sparked nationwide protests. The SPLC has a notorious history of slandering Christian groups like Family Research Council, Turning Point USA and even yours truly as hate groups. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche says the SPLC paid sources to stoke racial hatred. They literally did the exact opposite of what they told their donors. In essence – the Justice Department peeked under the KKK hoods and discovered Southern Poverty Law Center staffers and their cronies. Sen. Chris Murphy, the Democrat from Connecticut, is under fire for appearing to cheer on America’s enemy during the middle of a war. It was reported that 26 ships in Iran’s shadow fleet had been able to run the U.S. blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. In response to that news, the senator tweeted one word, “Awesome.” White House spokesperson Olivia Wales told Fox News the congressman’s social media message crossed the line. “It takes an insane level of Trump Derangement Syndrome to cheer for a terrorist regime that chants ‘Death to America,” Wales told the network. “Chris Murphy is an America-last, radical left lunatic who stands for illegal aliens and Iranian terrorists over the American people,” she added. “The only thing ‘awesome’ will be when he is out of office.” First of all, there is no evidence that Iran has a shadow fleet or that they were able to evade the U.S. Navy. And to suggest otherwise is outrageous. “This is what late-stage TDS looks like: Cheering on Iran to defeat the U.S. Navy,” read a statement from the Trump War Room on X. The congressman’s office defended the message and said it was nothing more than sarcasm. It appears that Sen. Murphy is either a moron or he’s a traitor to his country. It's time to start calling out these treasonous Democrats for who and what they really are. Treason is a crime in the United States of America. It’s defined in part as giving "comfort" to the enemy. And that's what Murphy's comments did. At the very least Sen. Murphy should be censured by the U.S. Senate. And he should also be brought up on charges. President Trump is breaking his boycott and will attend Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association black-tie dinner. And now the media is freaking out. The New York Times says his attendance has "raised some uncomfortable questions within media and political circles." "What sort of message will this president, who has sued, threatened and demonized the independent news media, deliver when handed a microphone in front of hundreds of the nation’s most prominent journalists,” the Times reported. Several hundred journalists are demanding the correspondents publicly confront and rebuke the president. "How will the Correspondents’ Association, whose mission is to support the First Amendment, respond to a president whose favorite form of speech is speech that is favorable toward him?" Last week David Axelrod, Obama's former senior advisor and a longtime Democrat strategist met with Pope Leo XIV. Days later, Pope Leo is publicly attacking President Trump. And on Sunday three cardinals appeared on 60 Minutes to rebuke the president's immigration policies. I don't believe in coincidences. The pope has weaponized the Catholic Church to advance an agenda that promotes open borders and illegal immigration. They have also chosen sides in the Iran war. The pope has been blasting President Trump’s policies since 2025. He's using the pulpit to play politics. And when President Trump finally pushed back - the pope played the victim card. I’m actually impressed that President Trump held his tongue for as long as he did. But he’s right – Pope Leo is soft on crime and he’s also a very liberal pontiff. Senate Republicans surrendered to Chuck Schumer and the Democrats. The Democrats got everything they wanted - a compromise bill that does not fund ICE or Border Patrol. Democrats held the line. Republicans caved. Senate Majority Leader John Thune scheduled the vote for 2 a.m. - while the nation was sound asleep. That tells you everything about what the Republicans just did. They immediately skipped town without even addressing the Save America Act. There's no other way to interpret what the Senate Republicans have done. They have all but guaranteed massive losses in the midterm elections and they have effectively ended President Trump's America First agenda.
