Give Me This Mountain | Jesus Gave It All

6/30/2025
During Jesus’ earthly ministry, He didn’t restore sight to just one eye. He didn’t feed most of the 5,000. He didn’t calm the storm on only half the Sea of Galilee. And He didn’t give part of His life on the cross to pay for some of our sins. As someone has said, “Sin had left a crimson stain, and He didn’t wash it light pink.” Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out how Jesus gave His all . . . and the only appropriate response from us is to give our all. P.S. I Love You | Sunday Message

6/29/2025
After all the deep truths covered in 1 John, we see an added “P.S.” in John’s following epistles. Pastor Greg Laurie shares they’re filled with love, warning, and encouragement. Notes: Focus verse - 2 John 1 2nd and 3rd John are filled with love, warning and encouragement. We can find comfort in God’s Word—His ultimate love letter to us. 1st John was written to give assurance to believers. (1 John 5:13) The Bible promises, “He who began a good work in you will complete it.” (Philippians 1:6) Salvation is God’s work from beginning to end. It’s not based on how you feel, it’s based on what Jesus did. John was refuting something called Gnosticism. Gnostics did not believe that God came into this world and walked among us. “If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God.” (1 John 4:2) To be a Christian, you must believe that Jesus was born of a virgin and was God among us; that He was fully God and fully man and He died on the cross for our sins, and He bodily rose three days later and will come again. 1 John can be divided into three sections: 1. God is Light (1 John 1:1–2:2) 2. God is Love (1 John 2:3–4:21) 3. God is Life (1 John 5) Read: 2 John 1:1–3 1. God wants us to walk in truth and love. Truth without love is harsh. Love without truth is hollow. Truth anchors us while love moves us. Truth gives us the message; love gives us the method. Love is obeying the Lord. 2. When we walk in truth and love the devil will be opposing us. (2 John 1:7–8) John has warned us about both Antichrist and Antichrists. 3. God cares about every area of your life. (3 John 1:1–2) “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2) God does want us to prosper, but what is Biblical prosperity? In short, it is knowing and walking with God and bringing forth spiritual fruit. God can and will bless you with wealth, but with that wealth comes responsibility. (1 Timothy 6:17–18) If you are blessed financially that’s not a sin, it’s a stewardship. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2) God does not heal everyone, but He does still heal today. 4. Coming to Christ is life-changing; continuing with Christ is life-sustaining. (3 John 1:3–4) “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3 John 1:4) “A good character is the best tombstone. Those who love you and were helped by you will remember you, so carve your name on hearts, not marble.” —C.H. Spurgeon 5. God’s people should underwrite God’s work. (3 John 1:5–8) It pleases God when we support God’s Word financially. (3 John 1:6) We should not have a discomfort talking or hearing about giving. The Bible speaks more about giving than prayer or faith. There are over 2,000 verses on the topic of money, possessions, and giving. Giving is not just about finances, it’s a test of trust and obedience to God. We share in the reward when we invest our money. 6. There are real and fake believers in the church. (3 John 1:9–11) Ultimately, it is God who will sort out the real and the counterfeit. 7. Be a Demetrius not a Diotrephes. (3 John 1:9, 12) Demetrius Diotrephes Had a good testimony. Had a poor testimony. Respected by all. Rebuked by John for being divisive and proud. Welcoming and faithful. Kicked people out of the church and drove them away. 1. Walk in truth and love. 2. Support God’s people and God’s work. 3. Be a bridge-builder, not a bridge-burner. 4. Leave a godly legacy. 5. Don’t be a Diotrephes, be a Demetrius. How to Be a Father When You're Fatherless | Sunday Message

6/22/2025
Pastor Greg Laurie shares a message for anyone who has ever wondered, "How can I give what I never got?" While some never had an earthly father to learn from, our heavenly Father is here to fill what's missing. He helps us break the cycle. Notes: Focus verse - Ephesians 6 1. A child from a fatherless home is 68% more likely to use drugs or alcohol. 2. 85% of all youths in prison are from fatherless homes. 3. 63% of teens who attempt suicide are from fatherless homes. We desperately need fathers doing what god has called them to do. “A child that is left to himself brings shame to his mother.” Proverbs 29:15 Passive fathers avoid conflict. Godly fathers resolve it. Passive fathers go with the flow. Godly fathers lead with conviction. #1 you are not defined by your past. God can break the cycle of sin in your family. “If anyone is in christ, he is a new creation.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 God promises to be a Father for the fatherless. Psalm 68:5 You are always on God's mind. Jeremiah 29:11 #2 Even if you did not have a father, you can be a good father. #3 Children are on loan to us for a short time. “Children are a heritage from the lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” Psalm 127:3 Children are not ours to keep, but to nurture. Live in such a way that your child will want to emulate you. Proverbs 20:7, 1 Corinthians 11:1 A good father reflects God’s character. Psalm 103:13 Read: Ephesians 6:1–4 Train up is a phrase used to describe breaking a horse. Train up also means to “create a thirst in.” “and you must love the lord your god with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength. and you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that i am giving you today.” deuteronomy 6:5–6 “repeat them again and again to your children. talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.” deuteronomy 6:7 #4 Start reading the Bible and imprinting your children early. “give me a child until he is 7, and i will show you the man.” —aristotle god is a loving father who loves his children but gives them a free will. even when they sin against him, he does not stop loving them. #5 godly fathers don’t have to be biological. #6 in the church, we can find and be father figures. #7 leave a godly legacy. if both mom and dad attend church regularly, 72% of their children remain faithful in attendance. if only dad attends regularly, 55% remain faithful. if only mom attends regularly, only 15% remain faithful. if neither attend regularly, only 6% remain faithful. you may be fatherless today, but you have a father in heaven. a father in heaven who loves you unconditionally. “for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.” john 3:16 Learn more about this year's Harvest Crusade! --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org. Overcoming or Overcome? | Greater Is He in Us

6/19/2025
Kids learn early on the playground that if a bully is bigger than them, it’s good to have a friend who’s bigger than the bully. A bully who’s met his match is no longer a threat. This Is How You Know | Sunday Message (with Jonathan Laurie)

6/15/2025
Erase your doubts when it comes to life’s ultimate question: Do I have eternal life? In this message, we’ll see what fruits those who really have Heaven awaiting them bear. Notes: Focus verse - 1 John 5 READ: 1 John 5 (NKJV) #1 Marks of a True Believer The Greek word John used here is “nikao.” Conquering will not be proven by your arrogance, words, or feelings, it will be proven by your actions. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (NKJV) READ: 1 John 5:1–2 • Faith that Jesus is the Christ, and that He is the Son of God • Love for God and His people • Obedience to the Word READ: 1 John 5:3 (NKJV) How you know: Faith, love, and obedience ... These are not prerequisites to being saved. They are products of being born again. #2 The Evidence for Our Faith 1 John 5:6–12 The Water, the Blood, and the Spirit Incarnation is the doctrine that Jesus was fully God and fully man. You don’t just know about the truth… you feel it, sense it, and live it. Do you have the Son? 1 John 5:12 Jesus is not a step in the process. He is the whole process. #3 Standing in Victory 1 John 5:13–21 Confidence in salvation gives you confidence in prayer. Prayer isn’t about getting what we want; it’s about aligning with what God wants. READ: 1 John 5:16–17 If you are standing in victory, you need to help pull others out of defeat. READ: 1 John 5:21 Whatever you do, don’t let anything take Jesus’ place in your heart. --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org.
